Easy iFrame Tabs for Facebook

Eileen Lonergan 28th February 2011

Today I got a nice email from Jason, who just launched a new app which is the FBML equivalent app for iframe tabs. I was super happy to hear from him, as I am/was a big fan of FBML and created a bunch of Facebook pages for clients with the application and had no clue as to what I was going to do without it!

Static HTML | Easy iFrames Tab

Jason’s app is called Static HTML: easy iframe tabs. I made a little video to show you how to use it, but honestly, I doubt you will need it. Once the App is installed you will have the option of showing content to fans or to everyone (make them Like your page before you show anyone all the good stuff!) Simply put your html code in either box, click save and viola!

Now if you are like me, and not writing huge chunks of html, don’t fret, this app is still a great option.  Go into your WordPress blog (if you aren’t using WordPress you should be), enter a post (remember to resize images to a width of 500 pixles wide), toggle over to html mode, copy it all, and paste it into the Easy iFrame Tab!  In my case I have a few pages with embedded videos, I just went to the html for those pages, grabbed all the code and pasted.  My Vimeo hosted videos work perfectly!

Please check out my Facebook business page.  Thanks for reaching out Jason!  Any questions, please give me a ring, 508-317-7355.  Or if you have any other tips that will make my life easier, please feel free to pass them along!

That is a pretty sweet application that Jason made. Will it work for multiple pages? I made a completely customizable iFrame template for people that dont like to code html/css like you. You can download it on my Facebook page. Let me know if you need a link.
