How to Turn Off Comments in a WordPress Blog Post

In order to disable comments on individual WordPress blog posts:

  • Login to your WordPress site
  • Dashboard -> All Posts
  • Hover over the post you wish to stop comments on
  • Select Quick Edit
  • Uncheck Allow Comments (left hand side of the page).

    Thanks! This was exactly what I was looking for. I kept finding articles that said I could turn comments off individual posts — but they would never give the instructions HOW to do it!

    You are most welcome! Most of my “How To’s” are notes to myself on tweaks I have made or short cuts that I have found and will want to do again in the future. I checked out your blog, super cute. You mention that you are testing themes, touch base when you find the one you really like, I would love to see a final.
