How to Upload a PDF if WordPress 3.5

Written by: Eileen Lonergan

Uploading a PDF works a little bit differently in WordPress 3.5 than it did in earlier versions.  I made a quick video to show you what to do.

Basic steps:

  • Add Media
  • Look at the dashboard on the right of your screen
  • Give the PDF a title
  • Select Add Media
  • Viola you are good to go

This is grea!, I typically avoid pdfs at all cost, mainly for SEO purposes, unless it pertains to a product manual or needed white papers for research etc..

Mathias, to the best of my knowledge pdf’s are crawled by the search engines. I agree with you though, I also use pdf’s sparingly, I would rather the info right there on the page.

    Hi,

Try to upload your PDF on Yumpu.com and then you can add it on your page.
